Jan 18,  · Final Fantasy IX's soundtrack is probably the most catchy of them all though, with some VERY melodic upbeat and catchy pieces here. "Jesters of the Moon" will have you humming in no time, "The Village of Dali" theme is very peaceful, and "Vamo Alla Flamenco" is such a catchy piece with the spanish guitar added effect.

[22][23] Nobuo Uematsu composed with a piano and used two contrasting methods: "I create music that fits the events in the game, but sometimes, the event designer will adjust a game event to fit the music I've already written."[23] Uematsu felt Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII had a mood of realism, but Final Fantasy IX was fantasy, so.

Nobuo Uematsu has been the main composer for every Final Fantasy game to date. He began working for Square (the producers of Final Fantasy) in the mid 80s. Despite being limited to only three non-stereo, non-dynamic instruments at once, Uematsu managed to create unique tunes that were well-regarded by fans of the series.

When I first played Final Fantasy IV, which happens to be the first video game I played from this series, it was Nobuo Uematsu's soundtrack that made me a Final Fantasy fan. Right from the beginning, I felt his tunes, all played on a synthesizer, were not just an accompanying music track to the game levels/5(22).

Though it's a behemoth, clocking in at over four-and-a-half hours, Final Fantasy IX Original Soundtrack sounds great both in and out of the video game. It is a very solid and unique collection of music that is highly recommended for fans of Final Fantasy IX, fans of Nobuo Uematsu's other work, and for fans of music in general.
